Once again the VRC and Myer put on a culinary journey through fashion and food at the Myer Autumn Fashion Lunch at Flemington. Guests were treated to a three course sit down lunch designed by leading Victorian chef Nicky Riemer of Union Dining in Richmond. Each course was served with matching wines, however for mums like me one is the absolute limit when you have school pick ups to do!
Myer put on a spectacular show featuring the latest autumn winter trends. Bright colours had a strong presence which is very contrasting to our traditional Melbourne black in the cooler months. Johnny Schembri of By Jonny label said what we will see with his collection this season is, as the weather gets cooler the outfits get more vibrant and colourful. We could certainly witness what he meant as the stunning models strutted out wearing his latest designs.
Each guest at the Myer Autumn Lunch received a cashmere collection Maxwell & Williams cup and saucer and their name went into a draw to win some fabulous door prizes. Unfortunatelly I didn’t win a prize but I can assure you I could have done with any of the following which were on offer, a Heli-Serv Spa Dreaming Tour package for two people, a Hot Springs package valued at $1,750, an Antler luggage package valued at $1,600 and a Myer Autumn/Winter Shopping Spree with a Myer Melbourne Personal Shopper to the value of $1,000.
It really was a showcase of all the very best in Autumn Racewear by our favourite designers and milliners at Myer!
