Melbourne’s racing and fashion elite once again filled The Atrium at Flemington racecourse for the annual Myer Spring Racing Fashion Lunch. Tables were adorned by stunning centrepieces of floral arrangements set in gigantic ice cubes. Guests were treated to a two course lunch and beverages. My favourite of course being the dessert, a panna cotta topped with cloudy apple jelly.
Each guest also received a trio of nail polishes and went into a draw to win some fabulous prizes. Emirates Business Class trip for 2 to any destination in Europe, Antler luggage and Myer shopping spree vouchers were just some of the amazing prizes you had the chance to win!
Myer showcased this season’s Spring trends and custom made millinery created by Kim Fletcher, Melissa Jackson, Phillip Rhodes and Richard Nylon. Rachel Finch opened up the show in an exquisite red lace dress by Preen (available in the international designer department of Myer). Models took to the stage in stunning creations by Karen Walker, Yeojin Bae, White Suede, Arthur Galan, By Johnny, Alex Perry, Maticevski, Cue and Perri Cutten. We saw the staple black and white, and lots of blush pink, bright pink and yellow! And who could forget the men (even though they were clearly outnumbered at the lunch) they strutted in tailored blue and checkered suits with bold coloured shirts and ties.
