A few days ago, Fergie’s million-dollar video dropped. In it, we can all watch Kim Kardashian and a few other celebrity mums take milk baths. This video is so big, it even has its own Instagram account.
If you haven’t seen it yet, take a few minutes to soak in the fabulousness of it all:
I say “million-dollar” not because this is another sure-fire hit bound to make lots of money for Fergie and her famous posse, or because that’s how much it cost to produce. I say it because collectively, these women are worth millions, and all due to their own hard work.
Because of this, I think it’s time we also celebrated a few of our very own Australian mums. They don’t take milk baths for the whole Internet to see, but they’ve made a name for themselves, made a mark in their chosen industries, and are stylish to boot. Have they got that MILF money? You betcha.
In all seriousness though, these mothers are just all-around fabulous and excellent role models for young women everywhere. They’re also proof that motherhood isn’t a barrier to being your most badass self.
Here are 8 of the mums I love to follow on Instagram (all photos are from their respective owners’ accounts):
Ann Shoebridge. Milliner extraordinaire. Her creations have been finalists in several Fashions on the Fields and have been acquired by the National Gallery of Victoria. She is also stocked in Myer.
